Start date: January 2025

Contract Term: 22 Months

Closing Date: Wednesday, 30th October 2024

Experience: 15 – 20 years’ experience, a proven track record in managing projects > $30m

Duties:

  • Overall lead for the Project Management Team (PMT) consisting of site-based Engineers as well as a team of home office-based support Engineers.
  • Overall lead responsible for Managing interface between client and contractor.
  • Overall lead responsible for delivering the project safely, on time and within budget.
  • Expanding on the Project Execution Plan in accordance with PMI standards and PMBOK principles and ensuring implementation by the PMT.
  • Establishing risk mitigation procedures and other project controls.
  • Overall lead responsible for Project Safety & Quality Systems.
  • Responsible for Contract Administration and compliance, progress payments, variations and addressing contractual claims.
  • Financial reporting and forecasts to the client.
  • Monitoring contractor progress on an ongoing basis and reporting to client.
  • Monitoring project safety on an ongoing basis and reporting to client.
  • Monitoring contractor procurement and reporting to client.
  • Ensuring the client is informed of changes and significant events relating to the contract.
  • Co-ordinating the PMT reviewing contractors’ procedures and work.
  • Manage and supervise the PMT office and its personnel and anticipating personnel needs as required.
  • Chair project meetings.
  • Co-ordinating between the various contracts under construction on the site.
  • Leading the PMT to ensure the project is successful and closed out to the client’s satisfaction.

Prior Learning / Special Skills:

  • Experience on multidisciplinary project supervision.
  • Technically skilled.
  • Leadership skills.
  • FIDIC / NEC / GCC Contract specialist.

Computer Literacy:

  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project.

 Qualifications:

  • Technical tertiary qualification.
  • Professionally registered Project Manager.

Personality Profile:

  • Ability to get on with other people and have sufficient authority to manage a large PMT and encourage good performance.
  • Driven & self-motivated.
