Airport Fuel Depot Upgrade, Cape Town

This project includes the construction of two 3200m³ above ground jet fuel storage tanks and supporting infrastructure as well as the upgrading of the existing infrastructure to support the new installation. Mechanical infrastructure was upgrade to increase the throughput of the depot and included an additional two road receipt pumps together with filters and metering, the refurbishment of two existing receipt pumpsets with new meters. Modification of the existing 4 tanks included new 400NB outlets with actuated gate valves, floating suctions, radar gauges and temperature probes and replacing of the suction header. Fire Protection Facilities were extended to include base foam injection, fixed tank cooling facilities and extensions to the fire hydrant line.
