New Fire-Fighting System Island View

Detailed engineering design, construction and commissioning of firefighting facilities for Island View. The
scope of work included new foam admixing system, seawater/premix foam reticulation and ring mains,
oscillating foam monitors to protect the meter prover area, the manifold & pump bay area, the pig launcher /
receiver area, and the road tanker loading area. The scope also included firefighting facilities for the bunds,
tanks and buildings, including bund foam pourers, tank top foam pourers, tank deluge systems, and
automated fire suppression systems (FM200) for the buildings. K&T designed and specified the flame
detection, early warning and automated response system, and integration with the PLC and SCADA
interface.
